I’ll admit, I was done with South Park for a while. The humor just wasn’t working for me any more. But I decided to play South Park: The Stick of Truth for the hell of it. The game turned out to be really funny, so I checked out the newest season, which has turned out to be amazing, so I guess I’m a fan again. And because of that, I feel compelled to share the news of two South Park tables coming to Zen Pinball (or Pinball FX if you’re playing on Xbox). The tables consist of South Park: Super-Sweet Pinball and Butters’ Very Own Pinball Game, because Butters is awesome. You can get them on consoles and PC later this week for $4.99. Mobile versions will cost $3.99 as an app, or $1.99 per table to add them to Zen Pinball. My only disappointment is that the first table isn’t a recreation of the real-life pinball table, to which I’ve lost far too much money over the years. Read more…

Well, I have good news and bad news, South Park fans. The good news is that Ubisoft has release a brand new 7-minute long gameplay trailer of South Park: The Stick of Truth. The bad news? They’ve delayed the game until March 4th, 2014. Yup, South Park has joined the list of games like Watch Dogs that couldn’t quite make their holiday deadline. While this is sad for many people, I’m sure, I always go by Miyamoto’s words of advice: releasing a game too soon ensures that it is bad forever, but in development, a bad game can eventually become good. So leave it in the over a little longer if that’s what you need! For now, just watch this gameplay trailer below! Read more…

So you want a fanboy friendly Broadway musical? Well the South Park crew could pull off what Bono and marvel never could — an amazing geek friendly Broadway musical which is the best I’ve seen since Monty Python’s Spamalot. In addition to musical numbers that made me laugh so hard that I had problems breathing there were numerous fully costumed references to Star Wars, Star Trek AND the Lord of the Rings! Also the Disney fan in me loved the never ending mocking of The Lion King. My guess is that this show will be sold out for eons, but if you have a chance to get your hands on tickets grab them right away. Read more…

Yes we can! I have to say that I’m blown away by just how fast South Park works current events into their show — even if everything is done with computers it still takes quite a bit of production work to put a show together.
