Yup, Hotline Miami is back for more gruesome violence and bizarre animal masks. The trailer shows off Wrong Number in several ways, mainly that there are many new weapons, enemies, and creative twists on previous Hotline Miami gameplay. Stuff like chainsaws and dual-wielding also seem pretty intense! I believe they mentioned that this game will focus on the 90s rather than the 80s like the previous game, so I hope we get some excellent 90s-inspired music for the soundtrack! Depending on your point of view, Mega64 are either hilarious or terrible jerks. Bumbling about in public dressed up as video game characters, sometimes directly around people, sometimes just providing a very weird show… it’s not your typical street performance. Have you been playing Hotline Miami? It’s a brutal beat-em-up game where you must eliminate gangs in various levels as quickly and efficiently as possible – and everything kills you in one hit. It becomes a fast-paced rush of violence that evokes similar feelings to Super Meat Boy, in which you restart instantly and every mistake feels like your own, rather than the game messing up. Now dress it all in a heavy 80s neon aesthetic, Drive-esque protagonist, and amazing synth-heavy electronic music. Now you’re ready to beat people up in style. Grab your lead pipe and watch this video below where the lead from Hotline Miami invades a few other games and dispatches his own style of justice upon them. Read more…
