Yes, May 19 is right around the corner, and that means that it’s almost time for season five of The Venture Bros. And since it’s almost upon us, Adult Swim has released a nearly five-minute-long trailer previewing what we can expect. As is to be expected from the mix of 60s cartoons, supervillains, comics, super science, and tons of other geeky elements that make up the show, the trailer makes no sense whatsoever, serving only to entice fans further. A newsletter signup showed up on the Adult Swim website yesterday, emblazoned with images of the Team Fortress 2 cast and a warning: next week there will be new details of an Adult Swim and Valve team-up. This, of course, set the internet ablaze wondering what this could possibly be. This past week Valve has been running a small ARG within TF2, dropping hints that their final animated short, Meet the Pyro, could be coming out next week. Could Adult Swim air it on TV? Or perhaps they’ll show the annual TF2 Community video awards show, the Saxxy Awards? We’ll find out soon!

I just caught an Adult Swim promo for The Drinky Crow Show which is based on Tony Millionaire’s indie comic strip Maakies. The animation looks pretty good and the theme song is by They Might Be Giants which scores extra points in my book. The show is set to premiere on November 23, 2008.
