Pick Out One Of These Mortal Kombat X Special Editions
Mortal Kombat X is a game coming out at this specific point in time, so of course, there are going to be four special editions, because that’s just how big games are sold. So which should you pick if you find yourself with excess cash? Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment would probably recommend the Mortal Kombat X Kollector’s Edition by Coarse, which includes a special Scorpion figurine designed by collector statue-maker Coarse, a gold Scorpion skin based on Coarse’s design, and the Kombat Pack (access to four more characters, both old and guest). At $149.99, it’s expensive, but not the most expensive option.
That pricey honor goes to the Mortal Kombat X Kollector’s Edition, imported from Europe and only available on Amazon for a whopping $179.99. It includes a different Scorpion statue, a steel pack and steel card, Mortal Kombat X: Blood Ties Comic Book Volume 1, an in-game Scorpion skin, and the Kombat Pack. It seems kinda strange that they would offer two different statues, but again, that’s where we’re at with modern games.
The other two editions at least come in under $100. The Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition is a digital offering that includes the Kombat Pack for $89.99, sort of like bundling a game and its DLC season pass. Unlike every other edition, which are only available on PS4 and Xbox One, this one is available on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. And the final offer is Mortal Kombat X Limited Edition, a GameStop exclusive that costs $94.99. It not only includes the Kombat Pack, but a Cold War Scorpion skin designed by some guy on MKKollective.com, a Mortal Kombat fan art community.
If I had to pick the best-looking one, I’d pick the Coarse statue, because it’s got an interesting style to it. But that’s a lot of money…
