Gerald McBoing-Boing

A while ago while searching through my DVR listings I came across Gerald McBoing-Boing on the Cartoon Network. For those who don’t know Gerald McBoing-Boing was an animation classic that I’d heard about for years and years, but never got a chance to see (except for still images in books on the history of animation).

So upon looking at my DVR recording I was a bit let down to discover that in fact Cartoon Network was featuring a re-make of the show which lacked the charm of the original. However lucky for me I came across the original on YouTune which was was directed by Bobe Cannon and created by none other than Theador “Dr. Seuss” Geisel:
