Sleeping Dogs May Be Remastered For PS4 And Xbox One
The PS4 and Xbox One are lacking in must-have games right now due to publishers believing they’d sell worse than they did last fall. Now, they’re scrambling to catch up, but still need to release something in the meantime. The solution? Taking visually-impressive games from last-gen and remastering them with slightly better tech and a higher resolution for current-gen. 2012’s Hong Kong crime game, Sleeping Dogs, may be next up for a rerelease.
There was a listing on UK retailer Shopto’s site for Sleeping Dogs HD on PC, PS4, and Xbox One with a November release date. (The original game was in HD, but not full 1080p on consoles, running at a lower resolution that was upscaled to 1080p.) The listing has since been removed, but it’s unclear whether this was just a listing error or whether this went live too soon. Hopefully it’s the latter, since I’d be interested in picking up a newer version with all the previous content included and nicer graphics.
