How incredible would it be to have had a father who had been the creator of Star Trek? There’s no doubting that Star Trek has influenced peoples’ lives throughout the years. Perhaps the person who can speak best about this fact is Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry’s son Rod, who is the narrator and guide in the Science Channel’s recent documentary, Trek Nation:
This film features interviews and tidbits from the cast and crew from the Star Trek TV shows. Also weighing in are celebrities and fans speaking about the influence Star Trek has had in their lives. But most prominently, the documentary shows the more personal side of Gene from the perspective of Rod.
